old fashioned luxury

This shave cream reminds me of an old fashioned barber shop. The cream creates a smooth and luxurious experience. It reduces razor drag and makes for a close shave. The scent is that of an old-time barber shop. Wonderful!

provides great lather

I've been using AOS creams for years and decide to try something new.Received the T&H as promised and have been using it for several shaves.PRO - lathers great with just a small amount on the brush, rinses clean,CON - has an herbal antiseptic smell - it's not unpleasant but not great. Definitely follow up with a scented shave cream.Would I order T&H again - maybe but the next time spend the extra $ for a scented version.

Love this stuff. I’ve been using “Art of Shaving” cream for a while but kept hearing good things about Truefitt and Hill and decided to give them a shot. I’m glad I did!The scent is similar to the one I get from Art of Shaving, but it isn’t as potent (which to me is a good thing).I shave my head as well as my face and this stuff actually helps moisturize both instead of just one or the other. I’m a fan.

I love this shaving cream

Shaving with a silvertip badger brush, ceramic shave bowl, a Merkur 34c, and a Wilkinson Sword DE Blade. I'll start off with the basics: the No. 10 scent is very elegant - woody and slightly floral (I'm not a scent expert, so thatt'l have to do... the website says it's Willow, Borage and Meadowfoam). When shaving with a DE razor, it's important not to skimp on the shaving cream - though I only need less than a dime-sized amount, mixed with plenty of water to get a really really nice lather. Creates good lubrication, and glides well underneath the Merkur. You will notice a difference in the closeness of shave compared to cheaper shave creams/soaps. The only downside is that, really with any soap-style shave cream, this isn't the best at moisturizing, but if you rinse well with cold water and finish off with a nice toning aftershave, serum, and facial lotion, that shouldn't be a problem.
