I first discovered Truefitt & Hill at the company store on St. James Street in London. Before I retired as a stock analyst, I would make several trips a year to London to meet clients. My company used the Stafford Hotel on St. James Place which I also highly recommend. This 5-star hotel is managed by Americans. It is very close to St James Palace, the mens grooming stores on St. James Street and many very nice small men's clothing stores on Jermyn Street. I don't wear a tie very often, but the one I purchased on Jermyn Street nearly 10 years ago still brings complements and where did you buy that questions whenever I wear it.
I enjoy using quality grooming products and have used a number of both US and UK brands over the years. After visiting the Truefitt & Hill store, I became a great fan of their products. I had a set for home and an another set for travel. I once had a argument in the Tokyo airport when a very efficient young woman security attendant confiscated a 4.2 oz tube of Truefitt & Hill shaving cream that was clearly not full because it exceeded the post 9-11 4 oz limit for liquids.
I use the frequent use shampoo, the conditioner, both tub and tube, shaving soap, and after shave and lotion for special occasions. Try the Stafford Hotel, visit Truefitt & Hill on James Street, and shop for a tie on Jermyn Street the next time you are in London.
